Overview

Department of Fisheries, Government of Tripura works towards sustainable development of fishery resources, enhancement of fish production, promotion of scientific aquaculture practices, livelihood improvement of fish farmers and better service delivery through field institutions, schemes, training, monitoring and digital systems.

To enhance fish production and productivity through scientific aquaculture, improved pond management, quality inputs, capacity building and sustainable use of aquatic resources for livelihood improvement.

OUR MISSION

To support fish farmers, fishery cooperatives, field functionaries and community stakeholders through training, technical assistance, scheme-based support and timely departmental service delivery.
